On 27th October 2008 Daimler AG signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian Government for the construction of a new Mercedes-Benz plant thereby commencing the largest development in the history of Kecskemét. Following the acquisition of the development lands, construction commenced with laying of the foundation stone in October 2009.
In association with the plant in Rastatt, two vehicles from the next generation of today’s A- and B-Class are to roll off the production line in Kecskemét from 2012.
In association with the constructions of the new plant, a number of related suppliers will also settle in Kecskemét in the near future. Some of them will be hosted at the Mercedes-Benz plant area, while many of them are seeking to locate in the surrounding area.
Considering the requirements of these suppliers and the needs of local enterprises, First Real Estate Solution of Kecskemet Region was established to supply professional services with a special focus on the field of real estate development and logistics.
